Editorial Reviews:
"For such a young writer, it was very good... I could see glimmers of true talent in this book." -New York Times Bestselling Author, Tawni O'Dell
"Illusion is suspenseful, gripping, and surprising from beginning to end, making it the definition of a 'page-turner'." -Holly at Nut Free Nerd
"I'm so impressed with Ms. Rodgers' Illusion. A page turner that is geared toward young adults, it is a great read for anyone. Definitely one to add to your to-read bookshelves!" -Dana Faletti, bestselling author of The Whisper Trilogy and Beautiful Secret
"Illusion is an extremely well-written and interesting read. Nadette created characters who are both relatable and feel very real. The story is also captivating and keeps you guessing what is real and what is just a dream the entire time you're reading." -J.T. Philips, author of The Legacy Series
"Rodgers perfectly captures the teenage experience and voice."
"You know when a book is so intriguing and you can't stop reading? That's what happened with this book." -Nino at Enchanted Readers (review of Illusion)
Illusion is "a fun, fast-paced book! It was a unique mix romance and thriller. The author really captures the teenage voice and mixes the everyday life of a high school student with the excitement and danger of her dream world." -Em Lyons Bouch, author of Moving the Chains (review of Illusion)
"Well-paced, humorous, and delightfully surprising, Illusion promises to capture the reader's attention from page one to the very end... it brings a whole new dimension to the world of YA fiction!" -Emily at The Obstinate Owl
"The sequel was even better than the first book! I really liked that minor characters and the antagonist from the first book were developed into major characters. The author goes back and forth in time flawlessly, showing an intriguing and surprising connection between Addison and her aunt, and Zach and his uncle." -Em Lyons Bouch, author of Moving the Chains (review of Echo)
"Furthermore, one of the things that I loved and enjoyed about this book is her family. Almost every book I’ve read has family issues, but this book is not like that. Yes, the secondary characters have family issues, but the main character doesn’t. Her family is really close and they are always there for her, and that’s really important… at least for me." -Nino at Enchanted Readers (review of Echo)
"A major strength of this novel is the way it seamlessly incorporates numerous different perspectives...Another strength of Echo is its fairly realistic depiction of an average high school experience. Nadette has taken something ordinary and made it extraordinary with the Illusion Trilogy, which is precisely what makes storytelling so wonderful.Overall, I was captivated, thrilled, and enthralled by Echo. This trilogy is for anyone looking for suspense, adventure, twists, and even some romance. Nadette Rae Rodgers has wrapped everything a good story needs into this beautifully written package."

Echo Five Star Review
"I couldn't put this book down! Loved it! The author picks up where she left off in Book 1 and really takes it up a notch. The suspense builds as the story line develops even further, and while there are some surprising twists that help explain things from book 1, more questions arise and I felt driven to keep reading until I got to the last page. Now I can't wait until Book 3 comes out and I can find out what happens. What a storyteller! So creative and keeps her audience in suspense and wanting more. I highly recommend this book -- but do yourself a favor and read Book 1 ("Illusion") first." -Reading Buff

A Dreamer's Choice
Written By: K.J. Reitsma
A poem inspired by The Illusion Trilogy
To be in love is to be in a dream.
When dreams turn to menacing visions
When visions make reality extreme
Love will force you to make a decision.
Forced to choose between reveries and reality
Forced to choose between mortality and vitality
How to decide what choices to make
When around each corner new terrors await
What’s the difference, asleep and awake,
When evil forces are controlling fate.
Forced to choose between reveries and reality
Forced to choose between mortality and vitality
Suddenly there’s nowhere to escape
The unavoidable trap has been laid
On every side enemies await
And now a decision must be made
Forced to choose between reveries and reality
Forced to choose between mortality and vitality
When dreams turn to menacing visions
When visions make reality extreme
Love will force you to make a decision.
Forced to choose between reveries and reality
Forced to choose between mortality and vitality
How to decide what choices to make
When around each corner new terrors await
What’s the difference, asleep and awake,
When evil forces are controlling fate.
Forced to choose between reveries and reality
Forced to choose between mortality and vitality
Suddenly there’s nowhere to escape
The unavoidable trap has been laid
On every side enemies await
And now a decision must be made
Forced to choose between reveries and reality
Forced to choose between mortality and vitality
